Our Glowing Reviews Say It All!
I have lived in this house since 1990 and the roof and chimney have always had issues, even after a fairly recent roof replacement in 2011 and chimney work within the past few years by a different company. We had multiple areas that were leaking in the roof and skylights, the chimney has never not leaked even after being “fixed” by other companies, and the attic was intolerably hot in the summer due to the large span of the roof and inadequate ventilation.
A roof is something that you hope to only need to replace once or twice. I consider it to be one of the most important investments you can make in your home and is not something you want to cut corners on. I did not want a company to come and just “sell” me a new roof. I needed someone that would be willing to diagnose and treat the multiple problems appropriately. Kevin O’Donnell came and looked at every nook and cranny of our attic, roof and chimney to figure out the best solution.
We ended up converting to a “warm roof” with a layer of insulation above the roof for improved energy efficiency and to offset the issues with the large roof span and inadequate ventilation. They also did structural work to fix an area of the roof over our garage that was sagging, installed new sun tunnels, and a new skylight. Several people spent more than a full day’s work on our problematic chimney, installing a new copper crown and cap as well as new cut in copper flashing. The roof and chimney were just put to their first major test with a heavy rainstorm and everything held up beautifully!
The process was seamless from beginning to end. The entire team is very professional. Shout out to Jenna in the office for patiently fielding my calls and texts! Al Lopez was project manager and point person during the install week. He was very accessible and went above and beyond to troubleshoot a few issues that arose due to the age and unique structure of our original roof. He helped me to understand the process and came back after the roof was done to look things over with me. The crew was very mindful about protecting our gardens and koi pond during the work. They were extremely efficient and did a thorough clean up. Enrique (my new best friend) and Frank worked their magic on the chimney and it’s finally not leaking. Thank you Kevin for really taking the time to figure out the best course of action and to the entire team! I would without hesitation recommend O’Donnell Roofing.
Their 10 year warranty was also a huge plus and really helped convince me they were the best company for the job.
High-Quality Siding Materials From a Trusted Siding Contractor
Two of the most commonly used siding materials are vinyl and fiber cement. At O’Donnell Roofing, we work with industry-leading brands like James Hardie, Nichiha Fiber Cement, and CertainTeed to provide our local homeowners with superb siding solutions that have the color and style options you desire.
Quality Siding Installation Starts With the Right Materials
Reliable Vinyl Siding
Vinyl siding is the most popular siding in the country, and for good reason. Not only is it affordable and comes in endless color options, but it also provides reliable protection for your home from the elements. In addition to its reliable performance, it can also help to dramatically enhance your home’s appearance and give you decades of protection.
Beautiful Fiber Cement Siding
Fiber cement is a stunning and durable type of siding material. As a James Hardie partner, we can provide our homeowners with the absolute best fiber cement siding options in the industry. It is long-lasting, low-maintenance, and there are dozens upon dozens of unique and beautiful color options to choose from.
Rot-Free PVC Trim Boards
PVC trim boards are made of strong plastic that work better than traditional lumber on your home’s trim on the bottom, top, or eaves of your home. The PVC material (aka plastic) is impervious to rot and won’t warp due to moisture like wood will. It’s incredibly easy to cut to size and comes ready to install.

Vinyl vs. fiber cement siding: which should I choose?
Location and budget are the biggest determining factors when deciding what type of siding to use. Certain high end communities/towns call for a product such as fiber cement siding, as the exterior facade will dramatically affect the resale value of a home. Vinyl siding in those areas may detract from the homes curb appeal/ sales price, as new home buyers are more informed on exterior finishing. Vinyl is a good option for most homes, and some high-end vinyl products can actually still cost as much as a base line fiber cement project. A good look can be achieved with both products/systems, but fiber cement siding coupled with PVC trim, provides an aesthetic that is architecturally and visually impressive.
What types of warranties come with my new siding?
We offer 10 yr. workmanship warranties on all our installations. Siding varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, ranging from 10-50 years. Vinyl is at the lower end (10-15yrs), fiber cement in the middle (15-30 years), and the highest level siding, such as BORAL, is warranties up to 50 years.
