Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our commercial roofing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the General Manager and Head of Commercial on reviewing & submitting bids for commercial roofing projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other requirements that will have a cost attribution to determine the cost of materials, labor, equipment, etc.
- Manage the bid proposal process, including preparing the bids, submitting them, and handling the appropriate follow-up communications
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers, manufacturers and contractors
- Utilize different software programs like Bluebeam, CompanyCam and JobProgress, for creating estimates
Requirements:
- Valid driving license
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing estimating
- Must know how to set up a ladder and get on a roof for inspections as needed
- Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday (hours can be flexible)
Skillsets:
- Knowledgeable of all the different roofing systems available by manufacturer and material and what warranties support them
- Ability to estimate a variety of projects/contracts under strict deadlines leveraging basic estimating techniques
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all types of people
- Proficiency with computers and different software applications
