When it comes to roofing, quality and trust are big factors. For O’Donnell Roofing Company, those qualities have kept them serving this region through four generations in over a century. In fact, one of their advertising slogans is “Roofs and More since 1924.”
Kevin O’Donnell took ownership of the company from his father in 2017. Under Kevin’s leadership, the company grew its brand to a staff of over 100.
The company services residential and commercial roofing as well as any projects dealing with your home’s exterior, including siding, windows, doors, gutters and additions such as porches or pergolas.
“Our name is somewhat deceiving because we do so much more than roofs. We can do anything to the exterior of your home,” Lindsey Pierangeli, the director of business development, said.
O’Donnell Roofing is also able to address a very wide range of roofing situations, whether it be repairs or replacement. “We have teams that specialize in slate, meta,l and cedar roofing as well,” Lindsey said.
O’Donnell Roofing has the experience to tackle complicated roofs and roofing on historic homes.
“We work closely with some of the historical societies. There’s so much history in this area,” Lindsey said. “They are scared to let just anyone touch their roofs. We have long-term relationships with our customers.”
“We go out once or twice a year to inspect and protect them,” Lindsey said.
Even the most complex roofs are not too difficult for O’Donnell’s wealth of experience. Very steep slopes, multiple angles, and unusual configurations are not a problem.
“With our team, when they hear that type of thing, they get excited. They’re always up for a good challenge,” Lindsey said.
O’Donnell Roofing is also at the forefront of the most modern technology, including the newest materials like synthetic cedar and slate.
O’Donnell Roofing Company is also the parent company of O’Donnell Solar Company. Their relationship and partnership of roofing and solar knowledge ensures that a new solar system and the roof it is mounted on will work together securely.
“Unfortunately, a lot of our competitors in the solar field will install a solar system on an old roof. We won’t put one on a roof older than five years,” Lindsey said. “Solar panels are usually rated for 20 years – that’s the same as the life of many roofs.”
O’Donnell Roofing’s principal location is Havertown, with its newest office recently opened in Berwyn.
“Communication and reliability are our strengths. Our team is very dedicated,” Lindsey said. “We take pride in our quality. We’re not perfect, but we try our best to be. We’re going to get you a quality product that’s going to last you as long as it’s supposed to.”
