A Readyslate Case Study

Cupa Pizarras wrote a case study based on a recent Readyslate installation that we completed in Bryn Mawr. Check it out below or click this link.

Readyslate has been installed on this family home, giving the building a fresh yet timeless look. This project marked the first time O’Donnell Roofing Company worked with our real slate roofing system, and the results have been a delight to everyone involved.

For 100 years, O’Donnell Roofing Company has been providing high quality roofing services to its local community. Over the company’s 100-year history, it has remained focused on innovation, expanding beyond roofing to service the complete home exterior, including siding, windows, skylights and solar.

Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, O’Donnell Roofing continues to provide the highest level of honest, professional service to all its customers. The roofing company has truly made its mark in the Northeast, United States over the past century and has recently added Readyslate to its variety of roofing options.

Bryn Mawr Home

Readyslate is an innovative roofing system that brings the authentic beauty of natural slate to any home. This innovative product can be installed by any roofing contractor without the need for specialized knowledge, making it an accessible solution for projects of all sizes.

After seeing a neighbor have a traditional slate roof installed on their home, the O’Donnell Roofing client brought a sample of Readyslate to them. They couldn’t help but admire the beauty of the natural slate, but also appreciated many aspects of the product that made it an easy installation.

The most appealing aspect of the Readyslate product was the pre-drilled holes which added to the ease of installation of the product. When asked why the homeowner wanted to use Readyslate, salesman, Mike Cronin said “the homeowner liked the savings provided by Readyslate”.

Kevin O’Donnell, Owner of O’Donnell Roofing Company added “my first impression was the product was much thinner and lighter weight.” The lightweight option opens the opportunity for more homes to possess a natural slate roof without having to restructure the roof to support the weight.

It’s lightweight is just one of the many aspects that make this innovative product appealing. Readyslate has also been awarded the highest rating for impact resistance, Class-4, and its modular design saves on installation time and does not require a slate specialist.

As you can see in the images, the aesthetic impact of Readyslate is truly striking, adding elegance and value to the home. It also delivers superior durability and performance, far outlasting artificial alternatives and shingles. Homeowners can enjoy peace of mind knowing their roof is built to withstand the elements while maintaining its timeless charm for years to come.
